Responsible Budgeting

Vacaville will begin our first year of deficit spending in FY 2025, and if projections continue we will have exhausted reserves by 2027. Now is the time for our council to begin identifying and prioritizing programs that ensure public health and safety. I want to ensure those priorities are made with common sense and not special interest in mind for all Vacaville.

Sustainable Growth

As one of the fastest two growing cities in the 9 county Bay Area our residents rely on our council to ensure infrastructure and services can keep up with the demands of increasing population while keeping cost in line with revenues. I am committed to sustainable growth that is inline with what our infrastructure can facilitate, without relying on future predictions or promises from developers to bridge a gap they create.

Comprehensive Approach to Homelessness

January 2026 SB43 regarding homelessness conservatorship takes effect in California Counties. Vacaville needs to be prepared for these changes.

I believe in approaching these laws and the challenges of homelessness with compassion, but with public safety as a priority.

To do this I propose a working with a coalition of our cities religious leaders, elected officials, and public safety leaders.

I have been reaching out to these parties but if I have not contacted you and you want to be a part of this cooperative effort, please contact me so I can ensure our mutual participation.

Personal Liberty

From June 1999 to August 2008 I served as an active duty Marine. In Iraq I saw first hand what a society with a tyrannical government looks like. I believe in the Oath I took to defend the constitution.  As a father, husband, and Christian, the belief in liberty for all Americans is central to my being. Vacaville was shut down and placed in a state of emergency for over two years, masking for our children in schools, including our special needs children, and strict regulations on our small businesses.   Let me be the leader that stands firmly for our rights to raise our families and operate our businesses with minimal interference from government.  As our council member I will be an avid watch dog against government overreach so that we can live in a community where the decisions made for our families are our own.
